We've had this cooktop for a couple of months now, and it has been great. The complaints about the downdraft reducing heating effectiveness seem overblown, as the effect seems to be far less than on my previous Jennaire. We love the power of the larger burners. The glass top is no more difficult to clean than the metal surface on my old cooktop.

I love our new Kitchen Aid Gas Cook top. It has a down draft which was a must in our home. I couldn't be happier with the look of the cook top and it's so easy to wipe clean after each use.

I would like to see two changes. 1) Instead of both medium burners on the back, would have preferred one in front 2) Low is the smallest setting but would love to be able to still adjust down past it. On the large burner, it's still too high. This filter also has a tendency to flip to the other side as it just leans and is not attached. Would like it to attach and stay. Also, would love a cover or solid piece to purchase to cover the fan when not in use.

I am happy with my purchase. It was expensive since I had to add a gas line. I do have a couple of issues. The fan is loud so you can tell its working, but it does NOT suck down the steam as I cook. Also, the little silver piece around each burner does not come clean once something has spilled on it. I cannot remove stains.
