I love the gas burners. Well planned, easy to clean and cook great. But...the griddle, why shiny stainless? You need to plan way in advance if you're going to use it, because it takes forever to heat up. Then, you've got to clean off that shiny surface. I have the same thing in Wolfe at home, and it's griddle is gas, and cast iron type finish. It's great. I use it all the time. This one, I'd rather get out my griddle pan.

I have had this stove for a year and I simply give up! The gas burners work fine but the stainless steel griddle is a complete and total joke! The promo copy for this says " cook crepes, etc etc." Not a chance! Everything sticks to this no matter how much oil one uses. You can't cook eggs, pancakes, crepes, French Toast or anything that has any chance of sticking - which is everything. Yes, you can cook bacon, but then you have an hour of cleanup after you are done. Why they did not use a non-stick surface is beyond me. And then you ask customer service if they have any suggestions... "Yeah, use more oil..." Sheesh! A total waste of space and money!!

The only reason I can't recommend this rangetop is because of the griddle. It takes for-ev-er to heat up, and then isn't very hot after you wait for 40 mins. I wish I had just bought the 6 burner rangetop and then the cast iron griddle to use when I wanted. It's very frustrating to pay for a beautiful rangetop and then be disappointed :( ...I'm very happy with everything else about the range.

This stove top has 4 different sized burners and is very powerful. I believe it fulfills all cooking needs. The center griddle is also very handy but does take a bit to get hot. Once heated, however, it is a wonderful tool. Do read through the the proper cleaning instruction to ensure a long lasting appliance.
