This was an option the builder offered when we designed our house. Looks good, heats evenly and completely disassembles for easy cleaning. The only downside is that the stainless scratches a bit easily and I annoys me. Otherwise for the money it is a great cooktop!

Burner Bases Discolor Easily

My wife and I were given this cooktop for Christmas. At first we were very pleased. It worked well and looked nice but then we used it. The first thing my wife noticed was it wasn't easy to clean without leaving streaks. This is after we followed the directions given. Next we made chicken soup and there was a spill over. I cleaned the broth immediatly but after cooking we found the burner base to be discolored and we are unable to get it clean. Our new cooktop now looks dirty around the burner and it really distracts from the appearance of the cooktop. We would not recommend this cooktop if it discolors so easily/

I like the layout of the burners with the smaller one in the right front. I am not at all happy with the fact that the burner bases on the two front burners are stained from a small spill of pasta sauce, particularly since that was our first use of it. That doesn't bode well for keeping it clean and presentable. Are there alternatives to that material for the burner bases? If not, I cannot recommend this particular product. I am, however , very happy with the French door refrigerator
