I was not sure about a microwave/convection oven, but now that I have used it, I really like the way it cooks and heats. The controls gave me a fit at first, but once I got them figured out it is a breeze to set time, cooking type, etc. I would recommend this to anyone interested in a new miicrowave

Very handy on cooking and heating food, we always use this everyday. We love the steam veggie parts and I use the melting cycle to soften butter or chocolate.

I bought this because our 'Architect I' microwave/convection oven had a control panel go bad and Kitchenaid has no replacement parts available. So instead of a couple-hundred dollar repair bill we had to spend another $1700 for a new one which is an 'Architect II'. THEN we bring it home and it's not even the same size as the previous one!. It's about three inches shorter in height. So now we have to have someone come in and make a filler panel for the cabinet to hide the hole created by the new shorter unit. All of this because replacement parts are not available. Thanks Kitchenaid.
