I replaced my 18 year old Whirlpool oven a few months ago with this one, and have never been so disappointed in an appliance. I am 70 years old and started baking as a young girl. Over the years, I have had new ovens, old ovens and cheap college apartment ovens, and I would rather have any of them over this one. When it is pre-heating, the buzzer goes off after 10 minutes. At first I thought that was good, until I actually roasted vegetables that never got done and baked cookies that got ruined. For the first time ever, I bought an oven thermometer, and it was at 250, when the oven said it was at 350, and I could tell by the amount of heat that came out when I opened the door, that it was not at 350. I've had 3 repairmen come out, and all they've done is make excuses., One even said I should be able to bake, even if the temp. isn't correct. (Baking doesn't work that way.) It seems that getting accurate heat should be easy, since that's what oven manufacturers have been doing for decades. For some reason, Whirlpool can't figure that out, and I will never buy another Whirlpool product.
