We bought a 30" Whirlpool to replace our 30" Maytag. First it was smaller in width requiring the cabinet opening to be modified.This could not be done by the installer. In fact I had to help the "installer" carry it in and slide into the cabinet opening. He could not have done it by himself. Second is the heat exhaust vent blows down and not out. The heat from the self cleaning operation warped our cabinet drawers/doors laminate/thermofoil finish. This will be expensive to replace. Asls, it's slightly noisy. Thank you, Randall

Worst appliance I've ever purchased!!!

One star only because I have to give it something. This is the worst appliance I've ever purchased. i will never purchase another Whirlpool. The oven's electronics cooling fan makes a high-pitched tone that can be heard anywhere in the house. It is so annoying that the oven is effectively not usable. I had the Whirlpool service company out and the technician said, "yes, the noise is loud and very annoying...but it is normal." Normal? Are you crazy? My wife has a doctorate in engineering physics and says it can only be from bad design or poor QA. I am routinely around 10's of thousands of fans in huge data centers. If and when any make a noice like this they are immediately replaced. Whirlpool's service technician said, "I can replace the fan, but it could be even worse." Total rubbish! I wish I had my 18 year-old GE back. At least it was usable.

Purchased the oven to replace an older 30" inch Whirpool oven. My goal was to retain use of a large size single oven. The multiple features (this model has convection) and ease of use are wonderful. The transition from my 45 year old oven to this one during the heavy use holiday time was so convenient.

We are having some difficulties with this. It may be getting used to an electric vs the gas we've had for 50+ years.
