I bought this model, because I did not want a self-cleaning oven. Everything I read online and in the brochure says don't use your self cleaning oven. I had a self-cleaning oven on the previous stove, and it ruined the glass in my door, and burned out the filaments in the stove when I use the self-cleaning oven. This stove works just fine for my need. It cooks and bakes. The only downside is the control knobs that indicate the burner is on. The markings could've been a little darker. I used a pan to put a dot so that I could see where I have the dial.

If I were rating price to value this would be five stars. First, installation was a breeze and everything works. This range is a for a short-term rental unit and hits the mark. People on vacation generally don't cook, they most reheat so a high end unit would be wasted. Second, the fit and finish is surprisingly good for a unit in this price range. Lastly, I'm a really satisfied Whirlpool customer. At my own home I've got Jenn-Air and Whirlpool appliances. They're really dependable.

I have had my range for about 2 weeks now and so far I love it! I wasn't sure I would like the flat top but I love it! !
