Terrible design

I've had this refrigerator for about 3 months. In that time, I've had 3 repair technicians come out to fix it and have had to defrost the freezer on numerous occasions. The bottom freezer drawer does not seal or close properly. As a result, air seeps in and the entire freezer becomes covered in frost. Add to that, the refrigerator door also does not close or stay closed properly. The last repair he did something to 'fix' the freezer drawer...but as a result, it was almost impossible to pull open. Then when I did, I noticed it still is not sealing properly. Luckily, I have a deep freezer in the garage because this one is virtually useless to me. The repairmen even said these designs/models always have problems and they only get worse and more expensive over time. After several attempts, I finally called corporate to speak with someone. She was nice enough but the best she could offer was an extra year warranty. However, having to get a service technician out every month, defrosting it ever few weeks, and still having an unusable/unreliable freezer...the additional warranty doesn't actually help at all. And they won't replace it with another model, although it's still under warranty, because the warranty doesn't cover that. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to get a brand new refrigerator to replace this one...after only 3 months. It looks pretty, but sadly it isn't reliable.

I am extremely happy with my new refrigerator. The only thing that has been an adjustment is that the vegetable drawers are not as deep as I would like. Can't get as much into them as I could in my old one. Other than that I love everything about it.

Love the freezer on the bottom since I get into that much less than the fridge. Love the french doors because you waste less energy just opening one. Also, there is less weight in each door and it is more difficult to slam them open into a wall than with a single door fridge.
