I bought this at the suggestion of an architect not realizing that there is no center spindle...how do you wash without that? clothing ends up all twisted around itself...plus if u want hot water wash - guess what ? it starts with cold water...so the hot is never REALLY HOT...and every time you open the lid to check, when it closes, it adds more cold water....pause takes more than the 3 sec. they say...scum builds up around the drum so you need to buy AFFRESH - another product- run a wash with that and THEN, run another rinse cycle...not looking to add to my "to do" list for a washer...and when it spins,,,,it moves so much it is out of line with my dryer...TAKE IT BACK MAYTAG!!!!

got this washer 3 months ago and I'm very upset and disappointed. because of it's water sensor, it starts washing before there is hardly water to cover the clothes, therefore the rubbing has ruined a lot of my clothes.

glad I came back to Maytag

Have used Maytag for years, 2 years ago had to replace made a mistake and tried to save a few dollars, that machine broke twice in 2 years.Have this one about 2 months, very quiet and spins the clothes almost dry. Will work with just cold water one I just got rid of had to have warm. Love the auto adjust water level, do not have to worry if granddaughter forgets to change level. Highly reccommend.

i bought this washer about 2-3 months ago and I do not think it washes well and I hate the locking feature, and that I can not control anything on it or keep the lid up for any amount of time before it cancels my wash.

I mainly bought this washer (with Agitator and "Deep Water Wash") for our garage to wash car, bike and shop towels. The "Deep Water Wash" function does not work. The only way to add water over the halfway mark in the tub is to stand by the machine for 10+ minutes and continue to lift the lid over and over. The water fills the tub a little bit more each time the lid is lifted. Secondly, the Agitation is so mild from the Agitator I can't believe it is doing much of anything to loosen dirt from the laundry. This is evident in how the machine is worthless in cleaning even small amounts of dirt off of towels. I did the research looking to find an "old school" washing machine with an agitator and the ability to control the water level. I thought that's what I bought but it's not even close. Overall, this washing machine sux!
